This is not a licence agreement and nobody has to click anything. It is six things worth knowing before you dial in, written to be read rather than to be enforceable.

One

This is a hobby, run by one person, on one server

LiteNet Connectivity Solutions is a working dial-up ISP operated as a personal project. One small virtual machine carries all twenty-four lines, and one person answers the mail.

There is no warranty, no service level, no support rota and no redundancy of any kind. It may be restarted without notice, be down for a weekend, or stop existing. It cannot reach emergency services and it must not be anybody's only way of contacting anyone. Do not depend on it for anything that matters.

Two — the important one

Secure sites are decrypted on our server, not on your computer

Your browser cannot complete a 2026 TLS handshake — the ciphers it knows were retired years ago. So when you ask for a site that is only available over HTTPS, LiteNet makes that encrypted connection on your behalf, decrypts the page on our server, and sends it to you as plain text over the telephone line.

This is the only way a 1996 browser can reach most of the modern web, and it has an unavoidable consequence:

The padlock, if your browser draws one, means nothing here.
Anything you type into a web page passes through this server in the clear.
The link from your modem to us is unencrypted for its whole length.

Do not send passwords, card numbers, or anything else you would not write on a postcard over this service. Not to us, not to any site. If a task needs a password, do it on a modern machine.

The same warning appears on the start page every subscriber sees at http://litenet/, on every profile, including the slowest one where every byte is expensive. It does not get shortened away.

Three

What is logged, exactly

Stated precisely rather than reassuringly, because "we respect your privacy" is not information:

Proxy request log	Your assigned IP address, your line rate and profile, the hostname and path of every page you request, the status code, and the byte counts in and out. Not page contents. Not form data.
Firewall attribution	One kernel log line per new outbound connection: source address, destination address and port. This is what makes an abuse report answerable.
Session files	Your address and negotiated line rate while you are connected. Removed when the call ends.
Telephony	Asterisk's own call records, which include the calling number if your line sends one.
This website	Nothing, by us. This page is served through Cloudflare, so Cloudflare sees the request the way any CDN does. Their analytics beacon is blocked by this site's content security policy and does not run, and there is no other script here beyond a menu button.

These sit in the system journal on one server and are not sent anywhere, sold, or shared, except where a specific abuse complaint or a lawful request makes it necessary. They rotate with the journal rather than being kept deliberately. Nobody is running analytics on them.

The operator can technically see the traffic. Assume a person could read what you did if they chose to, because that is true of this service and of most others, and only one of them is telling you.

Four

Twenty-four lines, shared

Twenty-four people can be connected at once, in total, worldwide, and the three dial-in numbers all draw on the same twenty-four. That is the whole capacity. So: no unattended automated traffic, no crawlers, no scripted downloading, and please hang up when you have finished rather than holding a line open overnight.

Outbound mail submission, open-proxy ports and the usual amplification ports are blocked at the firewall. That is not a judgement about you; it is what stops one compromised machine turning twenty-four dial-up lines into somebody else's problem.

Five

The obvious things

Do not use this connection to break the law, to attack anything, to send unsolicited mail, or to distribute material you have no right to. Do not attempt to reach the management network — it is on a private overlay and is not part of what you are being offered.

An account that causes a problem is switched off, usually before anybody gets around to writing about it. There is no appeals process because there is no process at all.

Six

Talking to a person

Everything — an account request, a fault, an abuse report, a question about what is in the logs, or a request to delete what is there — goes to [email protected], and reaches the one person who runs it.
